WOMEN'S FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES 2008 DIVISION WINNERS
The National Women's Football Association has announced the 2008 division winners. In the Northern Conference, the division winners are as follows: The Central Division winner is the Columbus Comets, the North Division winner is the West Michigan Mayhem, the Midwest Division winner is the Ft. Wayne Flash, the Northeast Division winner is the New York Nemesis and the East Division winner is the Philadelphia Phoenix.In the Southern Conference, the division winners are as follows: The West Division winner is the Los Angeles Amazons, the Central Division winner is the H-Town Cyclones, the Midwest Division winner is the St. Louis Slam, the Southeast Division winner is the Pensacola Power and the East Division winner is the Kentucky Karma.

The National Women's Football Association is pleased to announce that a license to operate a women's football team in the city of Demoine, Iowa. The new team will be operated by William Grimes. The new team has been named

Grime’s day job consists of his duties as Senior Vice President of Career Management Associates.He is a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served onboard the USS Bunkerhill (CG-52) during operations in the Persian Gulf. He is also a member of the Lightning, the men’s semi-professional football team. "We are very pleased to have this new team on board for our 2009 season. It will fit in really well geographically in our league. Mr. Grime's experience will go a long way in helping to make this team one of the most successful teams ileague," states league CEO, Catherine Masters.
